Beyond Belief

The Wowster does not understand why the Stephen Lawrence trial jury have anything left to consider. It is beyond belief.

What is to consider, will someone tell me?

For more than 18 years the actual death of Stephen Lawrence in terms of what happened has never been questioned.

And yet, an Old Bailey judge, decides there are things to consider, namely contaminated evidence.

I would agree that is important as is the mountain of evidence against the two accused racist cretins

Why are we still here dragging out the grief of Stephen’s loved ones for one minute more than necessary?

They need, deserve closure from the pain caused not so much by the killers but by their hunters, the indolently racist plod who should have put this to bed years ago.

If there is yet again no closure for the families that will be yet another tragedy in a long line of them since Stephen was brutally kicked to death while waiting for a bus.

But nothing is guaranteed, we are talking the law here. It is not designed to find truth but rather to do what it can in all the circumstances.

But when the judge says emotion must not be allowed to enter into it, in an ideal world he is right.

In the real world it is a sad joke in 19 years of such sad jokes.
