The Wowster looks at what happens when shit happens

Well it just had to happen, didn’t it.

Probably they were having a quiet day at American Express, nothing better to do, why not send out a mailer on cut-porice cruise chaps?

And that is when it hit the fan, making shit happens into a reality.

As they say, it seemed a good idea at the time, thought those clever people at American Express. A cruise a seven night cruise touring Italy, France and Spain for only £749.

So what’s wrong with that? Er, the ship in question is the Costa Concordia, now in two bits with a mounting death tally.

Must have slipped through the cracks, said a spokesman.

Oopsie…you really couldn’t make it up.
