Ethics Man

Published on February 2, 2012 by   ·   No Comments

The Wowster eavesdrops on a Tom and Sharon conversation about Fred the Shred…the disgraced banker who lost his knighthood. No ethics man he.

Sharon: What do you mean you’re going to hand it back?

Tom: What do you mean, what do I mean…?

Sharon: I mean what are you going to hand back?

Tom: My boy scout badge for helping the elderly

Sharon: Why?

Tom: Well I think it’s the honourable thing to do.

Sharon: Eh?

Tom: I want to show an example to others, especially that Shred the Fred who got his knighthood under false pretences

Sharon: You mean Fred the Shred. In any case, why are you handing in your scout badge as an example?

Tom: Well it will show I am an ethics man. Since I got that badge I son’t think I’ve done anything for old people, don’t particularly like them you see.

Sharon: You’re having a laugh. Ethics man, how can you be ethics man when you dislike old people?

Tom. Mmmm good point, never thought of that. Well there’s no point in me doing the right thing unless I get something out of it.

Sharon: Exactly. That’s the ethics man I know and love…
