Business innovation … the zing’s the thing

Meet Dhana Cohen, the epitome of how we get our wow moments.

There she was watching Oprah with You Tube creators Chad Hurley and Steve Chan, fresh from selling their business for $1 bill to Google.business innovation

A lover of all things on the cutting edge, the thought hit her. It went like this: I love new things. Online Video is the fastest growing medium in history with 72 per cent of Internet users in the U.S. alone watching clips on-line.

Thus was born The Next Big Zing, videos of innovative products on the market. They range from fashion to home to health to art to green to children.

And the zinger is this. All the videos are testimonials from people who either use the product or made it happen.

To get on the site your product needs to be innovative and, I guess, capture the imagination of Dhana.

The videos are well presented with  an enthusiastic amateurism, which does them no harm at all and should connect with consumers.

You pay to get on it and there are criteria, like you need to have a website devoted to the product.

You can check it all out at  The Next Zing Thing, everything from bra trees to aromatherapy products that calm the fears of kids.

Just shows what a morning at the Oprah can do.

Love to hear what great business idea you have which would be great for video? On that or any other point, as usual, your comments are warmly welcome.
