Worst Possible Scenario

Published on February 1, 2012 by   ·   No Comments

The Wowster on the gun happy militias bringing Tripoli to its knees.

It was inevitable. Tripoli now seems to be breaking down in to firefights between various militias as the ruling body’s grip becomes more tenuous by the day.

The real shocker is that the militias were on the same side during the overthrow of Gadaffi.

Several have set up bases outside the city and firefights are regularly breaking out between them as anarchy rules.

This is the legacy from electing to support a rag tag army as your weapon of choice in a civil war.

Now the powers that be are left with the prospect of trying to impose order on ex-rebels reluctant to down arms.

What price peace and where are the British and French as their jubilation turns to ashes with the prospect of having to step in to try and sort the mess out which is bound to make the situation worse.
