Phil McCarron sees beauty where others fail to look.
BEAUTY IS purely a subjective matter. However, rightly or wrongly, as a society we accept a certain type of style and look as “beauty”… a Barbie doll stereotype surrounded by sportsmen.
Barbie’s are plastic, plastic is fake
For years, the Barbie doll stereotype has weaseled its way into the subconscious of men all over the world. We’ve been trained to believe that long blonde hair, fake nails, tanned skin and fake boobs are the apotheosis of beauty. But like a Barbie doll, it’s all plastic faces and zero personality. It’s a superficial culture. But with culture, comes counter culture. Enter the “bad girls”.
Alternate beauties
First off, these girls aren’t “bad”. They are an alternate type of beauty and often more authentic at that. Beauty is the whole person not some random assortment of elements and cosmetic interventions however attractive.
Tattoos on women have often been seen as a mark of little class. But I see it as a validation of the age old quip “true beauty is on the inside,” as what makes them who they are is etched onto their sleeves for all to see. They are complete.
More aesthetic perfection
Two such women from Chicago, twins from the aptly named Aesthetic Perfection Photography, have been breaking the mold of Barbie Doll culture for years. Their skin is a work of art which gracefully grafts internal passions onto elegant bodies.
Naked souls and naked flesh
If true beauty can be only be seen in the naked form, then the alternate beauties of this world are perfect, as they are naked in the poetic sense.
