The Wowster predicts what will be important for small businesses in 2012

Cloud computing, mobile gadgets and security will be the most important advances for small business in 2012.

With smaller budgets and resources, those advances will be what counts for many over the next year or two.

Cloud computing will mean rather than buying your own equipment you will seek out a service provided to do the supplying.

There will be a lot more cloud applications offering everything from  entrepreneurial software such as customer data programmes.

It will mean that small companies can think and look big in 2012.

Major players in the Market will be the likes of Oracle, IBM and Microsoft.

Portable gadgets will also play a big role and more offices will be outing into the iPad revolution.

Even more important, as predicted elsewhere, social media will be the marketing flavour of the year as more and more companies jump on that bandwagon.
