The Internet blackout has triumphed with the campaign against censorship forcing the vote on PIPA to be cancelled on Tuesday.

On the face of it, the massive Internet blackout has been a huge success with millions not only in but beyond America joining in and condemning SOPA and PIPA on the grounds of censorship.

More than 1.8 million voted against the proposed legislation.

The Activist website with a membership of 10 million asked its members to sign a petition which read as follows:

“The Internet is a crucial tool for people around the world to exchange ideas and work collectively to build the world we all want.

“We urge you to show true global leadership and do all you can to protect this basic pillar of our democracies worldwide.”

Here’s a breakdown of some of the countries with the most signatures.
