Tall Story

The Wowster regrets the over reliance of tech in movies such as the following tall story,

I’m not old fashioned, honestly. I own enough gadgets to suck the national grid dry.

But it is only reluctantly I drag myself to a movie that is dependent on tech given it’s usually a tall story too far.

Reason I know that the tech will win the day, not to mention the endless placement of high tech phones, tabs and cars to name but a few.

Such is the case with the latest Mission Impossible romp, Ghost Protocol, which begins to see tiny Tom look if not act his age.

Of its type, it’s as good as it gets, an endless whirl of action sequences padded out by actors talking.

Worth seeing if only for Tom climbing up and then stumbling, falling off the tallest building in the world in Dubai.

Some decent sight seeing, a few gags by Simon Peggy and that’s about it.

As a techie thriller 4 out of 5. As an engrossing, intelligent spy thriller 1.5.

You choose.

A peek at the thrills and spills
