The Wowster on Gingrich plan to fly you to the moon

As Newt Gingrich was planning to fly you to the moon, little green men were threatening to send their representatives to Congress.

I joke, but not by much. Does Gingrich not know why it has been a lifetime since a landing on the moon?

According to people who know about those things, the reason is that aliens were discovered to be living there and warned against any further moon landings.

As one of the threats was that the aliens would retaliate by beaming their reps into congress, the colony idea was ditched. That’s the story in any case.

My own theory is that this has already happened, they’re called Republicans, perhaps Newt is one?

Nearer to earth, the first astronaut to circle the earth, John Glenn, has described the Gingrich plan as moonshine, we have more important space priorities.

Don’t listen to him, Newt, go forth my son and don’t return under any circumstances.
