The Wowster on the the trials and tribulations of George Clooney till death do us part.
So what happens when the person you thought would love you till death do us part is a cheat?
And you find this out when sh’s in a deadly coma?
That’s what Geaorge Clooney has to figure out in Alexander Payne’s deathbed movie The Descendants.
Poor George spends the movie in funny-sad perplexity trying to haul his life back to gather again and making some sort of fist of it.
A fist that he would dearly love to plant in the face of his wife’s lover of a few months before she was put into a coma by a boating accident.
But George isn’t that sort of guy, he’s nice to a fault although he does get his revenge by being nice.
A gem of a movie that pops the tear ducts as it tickles the funny bone.
Never has a deathbed seemed so welcoming. So do cosy up and enjoy.
