Honour Among Thieves

Should there be honour among thieves, asks The Wowster?

As if the dishonoured Queen’s new year’s honour list, could not be brought any lower, they’ve managed it with an honour among thieves deal

His name is Gerald Ronson who gained notoriety with his role in the Guinness share- dealing scandal, was imprisoned and is now rewarded with a CBE.

The first jailbird ever to be rewarded, his honour is for donations to good causes, the Tory Party perchance?

Much more deserving is the OBE for former drug dealer Christopher Preddie who set up a charity to stop young people living lives of crime as a memorial to his brother who was shot dead in a gangland feud.

Top of the pack is the very well deserved KBE to Jonathan Ive’s, the spiritual partner of the late, great Steve Jobs.

The Apple designer was rewarded for services to design with a knighthood, not before time.

As for the rest, nil achievements apart from hanging on in there. Which nowadays counts.

Perhaps apart from the following from down under…
