DAVID CAMERON was pictured today wearing casual off duty tops in shades of black and dark blue. Whilst these colours do not flatter his skin tone or colouring, there is a reason why a lot of people in the public eye choose dark colours when not working and in particular black.
Why Dave likes the dark colours
Whilst black only truly suits those with cool skin tones and a rather melancholic, introverted personality it is also a colour to hide behind – a protection from the public and a way of letting people know that they not interested in being noticed.
Disappearing behind his darker side
Psychologically black and very dark colours put up a barrier to the outside world to show that a level of privacy is required. This is particularly important for people like David Cameron who have cameras on him for the majority of his life.
Whilst coming across as someone who is sociable and determined, who likes to be in control whilst good at delegating, Cameron is a natural extrovert, who finds being in the public domain easy and thrives on it.
You do look dishy in blue, Dave
His natural colours are strong and warm and wearing these will enhance his personality. Darker shades of blue are much better suited to his colouring than black though and will help not to show any signs of the ageing process.
Men are just as prone to damaging their looks whilst wearing black as women and care needs to be taken when wearing it against the face with the wrong skin tone.
Jules Standish, wowdewow fashion and colour specialist, quite likes men in black. Depends who.
Do you think Cameron is wrong to try to be invisible? Or do you think, if only he would be?
